Nature inspires greatness and that was the theme of this year’s Nigerian finalist at Creative Business Cup 2019. Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) Nigeria, our national partner in Nigeria, hosted the finale of Creative Business Cup Nigeria on May 10. Ms. Chioma Ogbudimpka, the founder of Red Button Fashion, was the victor in the highly competitive event and represented Nigeria in Copenhagen. Ogbudimpka’s busines is anchored in creativity, sustainability and practicality. By converting food waste into clothing, coconut shells into buttons, and banana peel into fiber, her fashion statement is one of both sustainability and beauty.

GEN Nigeria’s goal is to build a network of entrepreneurial leaders through a commitment to continuous learning, process improvement and business integrity. The centre was established in 2003 and quickly emerged as a leading  professional business development and support service for small and growing businesses in Nigeria.

For Creative Business Cup Nigeria 2019, GEN Nigeria gathered an impressive audience: 2,200 powerful competitors and countless promising ideas. The Danish ambassador in Nigeria, Jesper Kamp celebrated the night with competitors and founders. This initiative not only connects local stakeholders, but also bridges innovative collaboration across borders.

To all the finalists and all the participants at CBCup19, we salute you and we are proud to be a part of this global movement that promises to change the world.
