GIGI BLOKS Ltd. from Latvia came in second, and the third place went to PocketSky from Austria. Also Zikto from South Korea, Bitbrain Technologies with Ussens from Spain, Original Unverpackt from Germany and Voiceitt from Israel received special awards for their creative ideas, which they pitched with great enthusiasm to the jury during Creative Business Cup. Original Unverpackt received the CBC Food Innovation Prize, Bitbrain Technologies with Ussens received the CBC Interactive Prize, Zikto won the SoftLayer Catalyst StartUp Program, and the Next Step Challenge winner was Voiceitt.

Creative entrepreneurs from all over the world have been gathered in Copenhagen during Creative Business Cup 2014 over the last three days – The World Cup for creative entrepreneurs.

Representatives from more than 50 countries have pitched their projects to an international jury consisting of business people such as Christian Stadil from Thornico A/S, Stiven Kerestegian Ganarillas from LEGO, Flavia Simon from Google, Håkan Nordkvist from IKEA, and Amy Cosper, Editor in chief at Entrepreneur Magazine.

First Place: Professor Why, Poland
After a very exciting voting, the jury decided to award the team behind CTAdventure from Poland as the winner of the cup and announce it as the world’s best creative entrepreneur. Along with that comes a price of 20,000 USD as well as VIP participation in the Global Entrepreneurship Congress in Milan during March next year.

The motivation behind the decision to award CTAdventure with a first place was:
– They are re-imagining education by involving users in a creative learning process in important areas such as chemistry, physics, and maths using modern technology like augmented reality.

Second Place: Gigi Bloks, Latvia
The motivation behind the decision to award GIGI BLOKS Ltd. with a second place was:
– The team used a creative process to make something extraordinary from something ordinary. They have shown great potential with a good product and neat design. Creativity comes to life not only in the business but also for the users.

Third Place: PocketSky, Austria
The motivation behind the decision to award PocketSky with a third place was:
– The talented team are showing great creativity in product design. They care for millions affected by “winter blues” and jetlags with their scalable business proposal, which has tremendous market potentials.

Special awards:
CBC Innovation Food Prize went to: Original Unverpackt, Germany
