UNCTAD is inviting creative industries experts and practitioners to an important meeting on the creative economy to discuss trends, measurement and current and future impact in relation to sustainable development.

The ad hoc expert meeting on the Creative Economy is set to kick off on 28 October 2019 and will take place in the serene land of Palais des Nations, Geneva, Switzerland. The meeting will occur from 10 am to 6 pm.

The creative economy plays an important role in supporting trade and productive capacities in developing countries. It also contributes to job creation, competitiveness and innovation. It is essential that no one is left behind and developing countries are enabled to become part of that digital-creative industries revolution.

This event brings together experts from government, business, academia, and international organizations to discuss the development opportunities and challenges associated with the evolving creative economy.

Who is eligible to participate?
This meeting is open to all governments, specialized agencies, intergovernmental bodies and non-governmental organizations as well as academia, research institutions, the private sector, and the creative community.
